Lava Rock Lamp
This lamp is inspired from my trip to Kona, Hawaii. My visit to one of the active volcanoes, I was able to see from close by how the lava was flowing down the island into the ocean. This was mesmerizing to watch. As the lava solidified I could see a ray of light being captured inside the forming lava rock. This piece is capturing the glow of molten lava. The lava rock is hand crafted out of concrete and has a recycled metal with concrete base.
Modular Light Fixture
The concept behind this fixture was to design a light that can be used as a single module or can be combined into one light fixture consisting of multiple modules. Basically, this piece allows me to create a light fixture design with one module or a fixture design with any number variation of modules. The hand crafted module fixture is created out of one solid piece of artisan concrete. It comes in different variations, such as a resin inlay or a metal mesh inlay.
Petrified Concrete Light Fixture
The inspiration behind this comes from my trip to the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. The beauty of how wood turned into rock is what this light fixture captures. I handcrafted this out of concrete and made it look like wooden pieces of which some are illuminated to resemble quartz from the Petrified Forest. The illuminated pieces are made out of resin.
